“Dyu Art Café” is situated on the peaceful side of Koramangala area, close to Mangala Kalyana Mantapa.
We always do a bit of driving around finding a spot to park, during holidays it is a bit hard to find parking.
As the Café is away in the calm lane it is quite serene.
From the outside it actually looks small and simple, you walk into the building and you find yourself surrounded by paintings.
Dyu Art Café encourages artists and also displays their art on the walls.
Next, you will go past a wall stacked with books and find yourself facing the open air seating, the place is quite spacious.
The feeling I got were mixed from a quaint villa to an old ancestral south Indian home. I especially loved the wooden roofs and all the plants that add a pop of color. The décor is nothing fancy, but with two floors and open air, it was a change in the usual scenery. I have to warn you, it does get warm during the summer time and a tip I would like to give does not sit near or above the kitchen, I experienced bursts of warm air from the cooking J. I also prefer the second floor, feels like I am sitting on a deck with all the movement of the floor :D.
As for the food, I have tried out a couple of their dishes. I will start with the hot chocolate, I personally prefer rich or a dark chocolate drink, this was a bit on the mellow side.
Moving onto the snacks part now 😀.
The Mushroom Balls come with a side of Mayo and another sauce which was a sweet and chili combo.
The Cheese Balls also come with a side of Mayo.
Both of these starters were very good, they were crispy on the outside and cooked perfectly on the inside. With the Mushroom starters, I have usually noticed that the juices from the mushroom usually just ooze out, they never do here.
If wanted to try out just one dish at this spot then I highly recommend the Chilli Cheese Toast, now you might think “Toast, NO WAY”. Trust me, I guess they make their own bread because it’s a better thick slice and it so moist and fresh. The seasonings compliment the bread very well.
The sandwich was crisp and the filling was soft with 2 layers of veggies, cheese, and flavored mayo. I was not much satisfied with this other than it is quite filling.
The Waffles were a bit soft, guess it needs a bit more cooking time. I was not a big fan of the sauce that comes with this dish, the chocolate sauce is just too watery for my taste, it makes my waffle even more soft and also moist.
The chocolate pie has a chocolate mousse filling that is fluff and rich to my liking. It is topped off with whipped cream and finished off with crumbles. Loved its rich luscious texture and pleasing succulent flavors.
